About the role: 

Our experienced International Tax team is responsible for the delivery of a full range of international tax services for local and multinational clients through delivering advisory reports covering international tax implications associated with their current or potential structures and its associated transactions. This is done by interacting closely with clients to provide international tax structuring, restructuring, and consulting services. 

Our services include identifying local tax incentives and double tax treaties benefits as well as foreign tax credits, cash repatriation and transactions between related parties of the group including financing, reviewing thin-cap rules, Controlled Foreign Company (CFC) rules and more. We also identify any potential Permanent Establishment (PE) risks related to the operations and concluded business agreements. 

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in engagements requiring tax analysis for various multinational and local entities in a wide variety of industries to provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise to clients; 
  • Assist in drafting tax articles in economic publications in Egypt; 
  • Assist with identifying tax implications as well as research and analyze a wide range of tax issues that may impact group tax restructuring;
  • Consult with clients on tax-efficient structuring of international transactions in accordance to double tax treaties, offshore investments activities and repatriation of profits; and
  • Assist with drafting and the delivery of proposals for engagements and are knowledgeable about the range of services offered by the firm.

Qualifications and skills:

  • A bachelor’s degree in economics, law, business or a related field with strong academic credentials.
  • Relevant internships, summer positions, or one year of experience, preferably with leading accounting and auditing firms.
  • Knowledge of tax and business laws and regulations is a plus.
  • Willingness to pursue a professional qualification such as an Advanced Diploma in Int’l Tax (ADIT).
  • Excellent analytical and research skills. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Arabic.
