Bassel Talal leads the firm's financial insitutions practice, having garnered over 20 years of experience in audit, assurance, and transaction support. He has in-depth knowledge of the regulatory requirements that govern financial institutions operating in Egypt, as well as the Egyptian regulations applicable to companies listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange (EGX) and financial services companies.
Talal's portfolio includes major public and private banks, large listed financial services groups, telecom operators, e-payment providers and other fintech players. He also leads banking regulatory compliance engagements. Talal has carried out many financial due diligence assignments including those for clients in financial services, manufacturing, agriculture, fertilizers, and hospitality.
He also heads the firm's technical team, supporting clients and firm members in providing consultations on complex accounting matters.
Talal holds a BSc in commerce with a major in accounting from Ain Shams University. In 2005, he became a certified CPA from the state of Illinois, USA.
