Farid Samir leads the firm's hospitality and real estate practices and has been the head of audits and arbitrations for some of the most respected hospitality companies, hotel chains, and real estate developers in Egypt and the region. He has significant experience in consolidating large holding groups under the requirements of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local GAAP (EAS).
Samir has extensive experience in advisory and assurance work through his participation in M&A transactions and arbitrations, having carried out multiple assignments for international and local clients, taking part in numerous arbitrations between hotel owners and operators.
Samir serves as the Risk and Reputation Head at the firm, as well as the Head of Independence, leading the firm’s Compliance Team in the Egyptian market to ensure compliance with risk and independence policies across all service lines.
Samir graduated from the Faculty of Commerce with a BA in accounting in 1987, and he became a US qualified CPA in 2002. He has been a Fellow of the Egyptian Society for Accountants and Auditors since 1993.
