Kamel Saleh, SBA – Grant Thornton CEO and AmCham’s Vice President of Programs and Board Member, moderated an impactful discussion with HE the Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk at AmCham Egypt's monthly luncheon on Tuesday.
The discussion expounded on valuable insights from the minister’s address to the chamber, where he highlighted the government’s top three priorities for the upcoming period:
1. Restoring confidence between the Egyptian Tax Authority and the business community
2. Designing and actioning targeted fiscal policies that prop up Egyptian exports and, in turn, Egypt’s competitiveness on the world stage
3. Enacting an integrated strategy to reduce Egypt’s debt-to-GDP ratio
The event underscores our commitment to fostering open dialogue between the government and private sector, creating a more favorable business environment, and unlocking the market’s full potential.
